The seller is requesting that I mark the package as received.
The seller insists that I need to mark the package as received for them to receive the money. I don’t even see an option to do so anywhere, nor do I recall this ever being an option. Can someone please explain why the seller is requesting this?

Mentor2 years agoIf a seller does NOT ship with tracking, when a buyer goes to leave feedback, they will be asked if they received the item within the purchase estimated time of arrival.

Sounds like they are new or returning seller and don't understand how fund holds work.

Fund holds are normal for new and returning sellers. The buyer can not mark an item received. Your tracking is what shows the item was delivered.
New or infrequent sellers will experience transaction holds while learning best selling practices. This helps sellers become established and build a strong selling history on eBay. New sellers typically experience holds for up to 30 days, although sometimes it may be longer
