The "old" ebay was much better than the new ebay.

Question

Years ago it was easier to find unique items or parts for a project. Since the new ebay took over most of the occasionally seller that were selling the unique item are gone or became invisible. My point of view is as buyer and occasionally seller.

Maybe and for now ebay is making more, but lately you don't hear many times the frase: "I found/got/sold it on ebay" among friends and people you know. The name ebay has been substituted with Amazon or Temu.

"Maybe" it's because friends and people I know -- know that I try to sell on eBay, but people do tell me they buy stuff on eBay. My sister brags all the time about the great deals on shoes she buys from eBay sellers. Last year during a pre-Christmas afternoon get-together I attended, the hostess got a delivery of one of her purchases on eBay. Which led to a nice discussion about eBay, and how our group might benefit from selling stuff on eBay. (We do.) And then people offer me first "dibs" on stuff of their own I might want to (try to) sell on eBay.
