The new Stunt on eBay...Logistic Companies
So, the new stunt now on eBay...sellers who don't have possession of items, use supposedly logistic companies to ship items...the logistic companies are the true sellers of items, and the eBay seller account acts fraudulently claiming to the public that they had an item for sale.
Remember, most carriers will come and pick up the item...greed creates middleman nightmare.

Mentor2 years agoSome sellers store their own products in Amazon's warehouses and use Amazon for fulfillment, or else have pre-existing contracts with wholesale logistics companies to deliver their products under contract to eBay buyers. This is allowed by eBay.
Some sellers wait until a purchase is made on eBay, then purchase the item from Amazon (or another retail site) to have the items shipped directly to the eBay buyer. This is considered retail arbitrage, and it is not allowed on eBay (and may be a violation of Amazon policy if a personal Prime account is used for commercial purposes).
Some of those sellers using retail arbitrage may also be using stolen credit cards to make retail purchases; if a seller is using retail arbitrage and selling cheaper on eBay than it actually costs to purchase the item at the retail site, that is one indication that the seller might be using stolen credit cards (otherwise the seller would lose money on every sale).

If you want to avoid buying from drop-shippers in general or retail drop-shippers in particular, it is possible to do so with some effort. The trick is to identify which sellers are engaging in drop-shipping prior to making a purchase. Examining seller feedback closely can often provide an indication of that, as can noticing certain aspects of the seller's items for sale -- such as an assortment of multiple quantity listings that appear to have been copied at random from a catalog or other site, use of stock images, and free shipping of bulky items where it is not likely that an individual could pay for postage and still make money on the sale.
