The misery of buying on ebay.
Ebay erases sales history. Making future sells with a trusted seller impossible, in addition to reviewing any guarantee offered past the usual thirty days.
Bids and offers section is not kept in order. It's always scrambled; like eggs.
All catalytic converters are now sub standard. P0420 is a constant problem that the Asian sellers, who now dominate ebay, blame on anything but the garbage they're selling.
Said sellers know nothing about their products! But they can copy and paste product hype well, in addition to misinformation and photos of products other than the one they're selling. And when you complain, they say, "read the fine print."
After market key fobs here never work. Period!
Why do "quotation" marks always disappear when messaging anyone here? I suspect the programmer could use an English composition class; as could most of the sellers.
Does ebay really think it a good idea to hide the location of sellers? Anyone with half a brain already knows that Asian sellers use Americans to receive and ship their products, but they seem to think it big secret. "Shhhhh! They never know."
But it's not a big secret. Want something for free? Return it! They will try "everything" to avoid a return. For it's a one way ship, and they know it! But it beats trying to get help from ebay's non existent customer service. You have to search the net for a phone number. And if you find it, you always get some grass hut dwelling person in the Philippines or Columbia, and they don't know English any better than the sellers!
Why should I have to wait seven days to give negative feedback to a seller who desperately needs it? They didn't sell me wine, and it wont improve over time. Life is short!!!
All that being said, I don't have a problem doing business with anyone. But doing business with anyone here "IS" the problem...

Try arranging the Bids & Offers page the way you like, and set the sort orders of each section, then bookmark the page. Use the bookmark instead of eBay's link.

Many problems can be avoided by choosing a seller with some care. Sellers that have been selling on eBay a while can be evaluated by the feedback they have received. Sellers that have not been around long enough to have a reputation that can be evaluated can be easily passed over in favor or more experienced sellers with proven reputations.

Some sellers seem to think it is worth registering in a different country, or claiming to ship from a different location than they actually do. eBay could certainly do more to make that obvious rather than making buyers search for that information. But observant buyers that care can still figure out which sellers are drop-shipping from overseas and which are not by comparing registration locations with item locations, by looking at estimated delivery dates, and by noticing whether the seller is selling the same items with the same images and descriptions that many other sellers are obviously drop-shipping. Examining seller feedback for signs of item location misrepresentation, misdelivery or nondelivery, shipping delays, cancelled orders and other signs of drop-shipping can be useful.

I suspect that many similar message issues have less to do with English composition, and have more to do with measures implemented to prevent spam and scam offers, links, contact information, or active content from being delivered to users via eBay message.

You should probably wait until you have won your case or you have gotten your refund before leaving negative feedback if you want to ensure that feedback "sticks". I believe the seven day wait only applies to top-rated sellers, or whichever class has replaced the old "power seller" group.
