I purchased a Genuine Mopar CADM (Central ADAS Decision Module) listed as NEW.
After professional installation and official online programming with Stellantis/Jeep servers, the module refused VIN assignment.
Multiple VIN write attempts were performed using official tools and stable power supply. According to Jeep/Stellantis procedures, this confirms the module is NOT in virgin state and was previously programmed or locked.
Because of this:
- The module cannot function
- ADAS systems remain disabled
- Odometer flashing persists
The issue is a latent defect that cannot be detected within the 30-day return window.
The seller refused assistance, stating the return period has passed.
I am requesting guidance from eBay on how to proceed under “Item Not As Described / Latent Defectâ€.

I am sorry that happened!
You should open a Return Request. The reason could be "Damaged or Defective Item", "Missing Parts & Pieces" OR "Different from what I ordered > Didn't Match Description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described.
You can open your return request here. Just click the photo and follow the instructions.

You will be able to print a label from here https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/returning-item/return-shipping?id=4066

Do not close your return request until you either have your refund in hand or you have the replacement item. Do not close it because the seller promises you something.
If it is too late to file a Return Request through eBay, you can file a Credit Card chargeback.
