The buyer made a false claim for a return
I have an issue with a buyer. The buyer return the item because she said that it doesn't match the photos and description. It was not true because she just need to arrange the leaves of the metal frame. The measurements are correct. She also said that the colours are different l. It was not true too because she put the metal frame on an outside wall which is in a dull color and has daylight to show that the colors are differents. I would like to do a reduction off in compensation of her false claiming, at least, my postage payment to send the item and the payment for the postage for return back. How to reduce the postage fees from the refund ? When I click on the refund the buyer there is not a space to reduce an amount. It automatically refund the full amount. I already report the buyer for false claim. Thank you for your reply.

Mentor3 years agoThis is ebay.com, the USA site.
You are located in the UK.
You need to return to your home site: https://www.ebay.co.uk
There is currently a glitch when you search, bringing you over here.
In the future, use the SHOP BY CATEGORY on the left side of the screen, or type in your KEYWORDS and then use the SEARCH on the right side.
Here in the USA, if a buyer returns an item that decreases the value in some way, you can withhold up to 50% of the return if you are a top rated seller with 30 day returns.

OP3 years agoThank you for your answer. I didn't realize I was on eBay US.
eBay UK resolved it. I received the item damaged and eBay made a full refund to the buyer without impacting my account and they said that the item was damaged on its way back because the buyer use the eBay label shipping. So the buyer is happy and the seller too. Thank
