TERRIBLE service from USPS
IS anyone else having ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM USPS? I am a seller and I send things (domestically) USPS Priority and they routinely take 3-4 times longer they advertise! Ebay is ZERO help!!!!!!!! Inexcusable.

Mentor5 months ago@dryophelia Mine was ground advantage, similar story with a priority package last week. Long story short, it isn't eBay, but it is the USPS. At least eBay adjusts the estimated dates.

Isn't USPS Priority the second lowest level of priority? (Media mail being the actual lowest). I'm Canadian and have my own issues with our postal system, so I could be wrong.
It seems most sellers with items of value choose Ground Advantage.
eBay can't help you with USPS issues.
All shipping/delivery dates are estimates. Couple that with the recent extreme weather issues AND that when a backlog happens, packages will lower level priority will sit longer. That delay will set delivery dates back.

Mentor5 months agoI am seeing the same issue. Here is my example for this week. I shipped 2/17 with estimate delivery 2/24. It went from Cincinnati to Avondale, Arizona then Phoenix Arizona, then to Portland, Oregon, to Corpus Christi, Texas, then to San Antonio, Texas, and then back to Portland, Oregon then to Albany, Oregon for delivery. It was delivered 3/2--an extra 6 days! Solution? Wish I had one. eBay has nothing to do with it. They do adjust the delivery dates to align with the USPS tracking.

OP5 months agoExactly!!!!! I offer free USPS Priority Ground Advantage The routing makes ZERO sense!! I just sent (2/23) an art print from Oak Hill, FL (south of Daytona) to Indiana. It took three days to get to Orlando (50 miles!) and now seven days more to get to Indianapolis (via Chicago!) and still not delivered. This is FAR from my worst example! I have some like yours and I am fed up! For this service USPS advertises and Ebay claims 4-5 business days! I have been doing this for 20 years and not lone ago cross country took 3-4 days. Now, a G. **bleep** RIP OFF!!!!!! And Ebay customer service SUCKS!!!!!

OP5 months agoThanks! I have had similar routing insanity but not as bad as your example! Absolutely an indictment of the incredible waste and inefficiency of USPS. And though I know Ebay is not the problem and has little influence, they DO provide USPS with a ton of business. It seems to me that if Ebay speaks, USPS must at least listen even if they don't care!
