terminology: New In Box vs Box Opened Unused

Question

I am selling an item that is new. It is in its original box and I opened it for inspection for contents.

Am I okay to describe this item as New In Box? and...

How does the term "Open Box" apply to new items, unused

Sorry if this is elementary. I don't want to mislead a buyer

The item is unused in both cases. In one case, the item has never been opened, and in the other the box has been opened for inspection, display purposes, etc.

If your item has been opened for inspection, you would list as opened box, unused.
