Ten days to shop before paying!!??
For the last year eBay has been overriding my payment preferences and allowing item winners to have ten days to shop before paying me. I have checked my preferences and am in compliance with eBay’s requirements for payment. eBay says I’m to blame . How do I stop this

Mentor1 month ago · Edited@yourtreasurehunter You can go back to not requiring a payment method before bidding and cancel as unpaid on the 5th day after the sale if the buyer has not paid.
If you want to require buyers to provide a payment method before bidding BUT do want to allow the buyer to keep shopping for 7 days then you need to NOT allow invoices on this page> https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf Then the payment method that was provided will be charged one hour after sale.
Autopay is when you as a seller require buyers to provide a payment method before making a bid or offer.
The setting is in buyer requirements in account settings> https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements
If you require buyers to provide a payment method prior to bidding AND allow combined shipping in your account settings then the buyer may choose to keep bidding for 7 days before paying. This is a change that many auction sellers asked for.

Mentor1 month agoDo you officially offer combined shipping along with requiring autopay? If so, then the winner has the option to extend the payment time to bid on other items and get the combined shipping. You would either have to remove the autopay option or stop offering combined shipping.
