Taxes
I haven't received my 1099K as of February 1, 2026 for the 2025 tax year. What are the guidelines please? Do I have to meet a certain quantity sold or amount sold before I have to file my taxes. This is what it reads for 2025 taxes: You didn't receive a Form 1099-K because your gross amount of payments didn't meet the IRS or state reporting thresholds.

That's right: eBay was not required to issue a Form 1099-K to you because you sold less than the minimum amounts and transaction numbers specified by the Internal Revenue Service.
Those current IRS reporting thresholds/minimums are
1. Number of transactions: two hundred (200) and
2. Number of dollars of gross earnings: twenty thousand ($20,000.00).
I don't know what state you live in, but several states have have lower reporting requirements, some as low as $600.00.
This means only that eBay was not required to report -- to tell the IRS and/or your state income tax authority how much eBay paid you in gross earnings during 2025.
The absence of Form 1099-K does not automatically mean you owe no income tax on your eBay sales income.

You're supposed to file a federal income tax return if you have gross income -- from all sources -- at levels that vary depending on your age (over or under 65 years), married filing jointly or married filing separately, head of household, or as a qualifying surviving spouse. Those gross income levels are printed on page 9 of the instructions for Form 1040. You can download that from the IRS website. I got my copy from googling "1040 instructions 2025." Be sure you're downloading from the IRS website, so you know it's from "the horse's mouth."
