None of your beeswax. But I do follow the laws on taxes, traffic, food safety, etc., etc., etc.
What the IRS says is:
If your filing status is Single and you were under 65 at the end of 2025, you must file an income tax return if your gross income ** was at least $15,750.
If your filing status is Single and you were 65 or older at the end of 2025, you must file an income tax return if your gross income ** was at least $17,750.
This Charts gets more complicated, including situations for people who are married filing jointly, married filing separately, head of household, and qualifying surviving spouses.
If you are married, but filing separately, at any age, the IRS says you must file an income tax return if your gross income ** was at least $5.00. Yes: Five Dollars.
** The IRS defines gross income as "all income you received in the form of money, goods, property, and services that isn't exempt from tax, including any income from sources outside the United States or from the sale of your main home (even if you can exclude part of all of it)." There is more to the definition of gross income but I really don't want to copy it all.
You can find all this info in "Chart A--For Most People" on page 9 of the Instructions for Form 1040, which we all know as the federal income tax return form. You can google it and save it.
The best advice I can give you is to work with a tax preparer in order to avoid any difficulty with the IRS and/or your state's income tax authorities. The nationwide tax firm with the big green box as its logo has always done a wonderful job for me.

You will receive a 1099-K if you sold #20,000 + and 200 items (unless your state requires one for a lower amount).
However you must declare all of your eBay sales on your tax return, no matter how much you sell. You also can itemize your expenses and cost of goods.
