Hi all,
I sold a few item in 2023 on Ebay. Do I need to file it on my taxes or will Ebay send me something in the mail to give to my tax professional? I looked online and got confused on what I need to do. Obviously, I'm trying to do the right thing. Thanks all.

Mentor2 years agoI can’t see what state you are in, so there is a chance you will get a 1099k since at least one of the items you sold was pricey, but you may have to use your own records. If you made a profit on the items yo sold, the profit is taxable income.
You can run a transaction report to give your tax preparer - https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/reportslanding# - he will also ask you for the cost of the items you sold, so he can calculate your profit.
