    Tax statement
                     

    I have been using ebay to sell some of my deceased parents assets.  I am receiving emails stating that there is a 1099K being issued to the IRS.  Why?  Personal inheritance assets are not taxable.

    Payments paid to you are reportable, it doesn’t mean that it will be taxable.  Read the IRS publications on how to record your 1099k. If you’re not sure, consult a tax expert.
