Tax not collected on TN sale for books. Help appreciated.

I'm new to Ebay and have noticed sales tax has automatically been collected on other auctions. However, today I sold a lot of books to an individual in Brush Creek, TN and no tax was collected. Is there anything else I need to do?

As an eBay seller, no, there is nothing else that you need to do.

Apparently, eBay recognized the zip code in the delivery address and the category in which your books were listed, and their system said, essentially:

"These items are sales-tax-exempt. The buyer needs to pay no sales tax on this purchase."

So, your work is done!
