Tax ID
Throughout all the documentation I can find on eBay it says that it needs your SSN or your Tax ID number in order to receive your payouts once you sell over $600. The key word in all of that is the OR between SSN and Tax ID. It doesn't say it needs both. Whenever I try and enter my SSN it won't let me proceed unless I include my tax ID number as well. It just has a red box around the tax id portion and the continue button isn't clickable. There is quite a bit of money sitting here on hold and there's no way for me to get to it unless I get this resolved. Can anyone explain why I am being required to included both a ssn and tax id #? Thank you for your time.

Mentor2 years agoThis is just a guess. If you have a sole proprietorship ebay account, enter your SSN. If your ebay account is a business account, or you have a LLC then you enter the Tax ID.
