Tax exemption on food in NY
How do I contact eBay regarding improperly imposed tax?
Purchasing tax exempt food product in NY, yet eBay automatically applied tax. Seller says they are unable to deduct the sales tax, since it was applied by eBay directly.
Tried reordering, yet tax is automatically applied during final purchase confirmation.

What is the item #? Is it listed in a food category? eBay uses the category to determine the tax, so if it is listened in another category, like camping supplies, then it is taxed as supplies, not food.
