tax exempt status
I own a business and buy many items through Ebay because I cannot find them through my vendors. I have emailed my vendors form/State ID and Fed ID in and Ebay states I must wait 10 days for a response, way past that, and have not received one! Anyone else go through this with Ebay? I don't see a phone number to call and I don't see an email to contact anyone! The "contact" button just puts you in a loop. I am charging my customers higher prices because they are now paying double tax!

Mentor3 years agoThe page where you submit your forms says 10 - 15 business days, so that is 2 - 3 weeks. There is no point in trying to contact anyone before the 3 weeks are up - you’ll just get frustrated.
Check your latest sales tax return and see if there is a place on the form where you can deduct tax paid on purchases for resale. Or check your state’s dept of revenue website. Many states allow you to recapture the amount as a deduction against your tax payment.
