Tax collected on fees?
Where does the money go that is collected on shipping cost fee or the tax collected? Ebay collected the fee for selling the item(i get that) then they collected the tax for the item sold (i get that) then charged a fee for the total of all the above. this is from ebays fee section

The total amount of the sale includes the item price, any handling charges, any shipping costs collected from the buyer (some exceptions apply), sales tax, and any other applicable fees.

Mentor2 years agoThe fee charged on the total amount the buyer pays goes to eBay.
Sales tax collected from a sale goes to the state the item was delivered to in accordance with the laws of that state. Some states tax shipping under certain circumstances and others do not.
The rest goes to the seller, who can use a portion of the proceeds to purchase shipping.
