I live in a state that does not charge sales tax on .99 gold and silver> purchased silver .99 silver round and was charged tax, I have contacted and talked to e bay twice with no response form them what should I do?

Whether sales tax is charged depends on the law in the state the item is being shipped to, but it may also depend on the category the item is listed in. A non-taxable item listed in a taxable category may be subject to sales tax. Bullion in a bullion category may not be taxed, but bullion in a collectible category might be taxed.

Before completing a purchase, check to see if a sales tax line item appears when the item is in your cart.
