Tariffs on Products bought from Non-Commercial Canadian Seller?
I’m a little confused. I’d like to buy an item valued over $800 from an eBay user based in Canada. I am in the US. It’s a personal item (workout equipment) and they are not a commercial seller. eBay is stating I may have to pay extra, but isn’t stating definitively nor do I know what those costs might be if implemented. Anyone know if tariffs apply?

Mentor1 year ago@oaklandfan04. That is the regular duties/ customs fees that have been in place for imports of items valued over $800.

In case you are not aware eBay is also required to collect and remit sales tax if your state charges any.
