Tariffs
BEWARE! I tried to buy a used Colnago aluminum frame from a seller in Italy. A $680 frame plus shipping cost me just under $1000. When it arrived in the states UPS wanted over $1700 to deliver the frame. A 250% tariff. I refused delivery. It is supposed to be sent back to the seller but it has been almost a month and it hasn’t arrived yet. Ebay won’t help. Their position is that they did their job. I may never see my money. The seller acts like it’s not his problem either. Ebay could do a better job of listing possible tariff amounts to warn buyers. Think long and hard before buying from overseas through Ebay. Do your research. Don’t get ripped off like I did. Thanks for nothing Ebay.

USA has assessed large tariffs for most imports. Tariffs are paid by the buyer, not by the sending country or seller.
In addition to tariffs, UPS ad Fed ex assess brokerage fees because they prepay the tariff at the dock and collect the tariff from the end buyer.

It's a bad time to buy products overseas, unfortunately
You may want to try your credit card to see if a chargeback can work.
