Tariff error
Hi.
I purchased a sweatshirt on eBay Canada for 60 Canadian Dollars, and got email from UPS asking for 50USD import fee. I through the tariff is like 10% of item price... Do you have any suggestion of how I can fix this calculation error?
Item will be delivered in two days, and I haven't paid the fee yet.

When an item is shipped by DHL, UPS, Fedex etc, they charge a brokerage fee on top of the tarrif.
The fee is because they prepay the tariff at the border and collect the fee from you.
$50 is quite possibly the real tariff + brokerage fee.
Call UPS to confirm
When you buy from Canada, use USPS, it's less expensive on tariffs. There is no brokerage.
