Swapped labels
I accidentally shipped a set of dishes to a woman who purchased a boys Northface puffer jacket. I received a message from the woman expecting the jacket saying she got the dishes and therefore sent a message to the woman expecting the Dishes alerting her that she will likely receive a jacket. What is the best course of action when you accidentally shipped the wrong items to the wrong two people? Thanks

Once you get the item back issue a refund then relist so that the buyer can purchase again.
If you just send the item out without doing these steps the buyer could receive a refund AND the item.

OP1 year agoIs there a reason I can't send shipping labels to each party so they can send the item directly to the other person? if they are both willing and friendly it seems like a much easier course of action.

No. Even though it sounds easier, you can't do that. They must return the items to YOU.
I agree with the others that the best way to handle this is to refund both buyers when you receive the returned items and relist so they can repurchase.

Have each buyer file a Return Request so you can provide them with a return shipping label. When you receive the returned items, you can reship to the correct buyers.

OP1 year agoThanks for helping with this! So does this mean I have to pay for the return shipping to me as well as for new shipping to the intended address? So basically shipping x3?
thanks!

Mentor1 year agoYou pay the return shipping for each item. Then you relist each item for the buyer to repurchase and repay. You do not end up paying shipping 3 times.
