Suspicious seller and refund attempt
I purchased a DS action replay cartridge from seller mitcmalin0 on December 20 2023 as a Christmas gift. After receiving it in the mail, I kept the return address in case it didn't work. After testing, it did not work so I contacted the seller for a refund on December 28, 2023. The seller responded after several weeks saying his messages were messed up and agreed to refund once the item was returned. I mailed the cartridge on December 30, 2023 and asked the seller to confirm receipt. After several weeks I sent another message on January 20, 2024 asking about receipt of the item and refund. Again the seller said messages were messed up and they would make sure of a refund. No refund has been received to date and just received the mailed package back with a return to sender unable to forward. When I checked the seller site today, the sellers name changed to TheeVintageOrlando. At this point the seller has dodged all attempts to refund or resolve this order. Not sure where they are located. What else can I do to resolve this?

The easiest way is to go to your Purchase history, locate the item. You have 30 days from date of receipt. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on MORE to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. The seller has 3 days to do that. You print out the label, affix it to the box, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
Since it is past 30 days, if you paid with Paypal, contact them for a return as they allow up to 180 days from the date of transaction. If you paid with a credit card, file a charge back with the credit card issuer.
