Suspicious seller
I bought a large ebike battery from a seller back in november.
On the first picture for the battery listing is "2 year warranty" or something like that promising a warranty.
Although I didint know it, the battery had been underperforming all along. I bought a voltegmeter to test it, and was dissappinted to see the battery was weaker than its supposed to be.
I contacted the seller, and after some back and forth, he said I could buy a new one for 80$. I agreed, and asked him to send me an ebay offer of 80$. Instead, he shifted the price to 90$. Then he sent me a PayPal link to just give him money. I was angered BECAUSE NO WAY IM GOING TO PAY OUTSIDE OF EBAY. But he never adressed my concern about a scam. Instead he didint speak for a whole week
When he came back today he told me that 90$ was too much AGAIN and sent ANOTHER suspiscous link which was supposedly a paypal invoice for more than 90$ (i didint check)
Any advice? Is he bound to fufill his warranty promise on the display picture?
And how do i talk to a real ebay customer service person?

Mentor2 years ago@isihochs_0 Warranty's are through the manufacturer and rarely honored when items are sold by a non authorized retailer.
The seller should make this clear in the listing. They also should not try to take the sale off site.
