Suspicious emails
For the past week or two, I have been getting emails from eBay that say something like “We’re just confirming that your bank account ending in xxxx has been charged for $1.00.”
What’s going on here? I have not seen this in the past.

Mentor1 week ago@zarchy If this is for selling costs it will say what it is for on your all transactions page> https://www.ebay.com/mes/transactionlist?sh=true
Otherwise I would contact customer service.
Here's how to contact a general customer service agent:
https://www.ebay.com/help/contact?type=ContactUs&topicId=4000
2. Select a category that best matches your problem.
3. Answer the chat bots question by stating what you need help with. Be brief, don't go into details.
4.Type AGENT ( you may have repeat steps 3 and 4)
5. Request a call back or live chat. (Note that the contact options vary depending on the topic and staffing availability)
Monday to Sunday 5:00 am to 09:30 pm PST
OR Contact customer service on social media using a PRIVATE message>

OP1 week agoThanks much for the info. It turns out the fees were from eBay because I shortened the duration of several auctions because I was going on vacation. Arghhh!

Mentor1 week ago@zarchy You have to watch out for the optional listing upgrade charges. If you see a fee at the bottom of the screen before you submit the listing that fee is due even if the item doesn't sell.
I do recommend using a credit card for your back up payment method for selling costs instead of your checking account. Refunds come for the back up payment method too.
