Suspicious buyer's profile

I just posted a luxury watch for sale and got a decent offer 1 hour later but the buyer's profile seems pretty suspicious. The profile was created today and has zero feedback. I'm based in the US and this profile in Australia.

How do you guys usually handle these situations?

Since your listing is not set up for international shipping, you can just decline the offer. Bear in mind though that the buyer might use a freight forwarder with a US address as the ship-to address.

But if the buyer was providing a US address and purchased using Buy It Now, you would be required to ship per the User Agreement you signed.

There is nothing suspicious about buying an item the day a buyer opens an account. That's what I did 22 years ago - it's the reason I opened my account. There is also nothing suspicious about an international buyer being interested in your item.

The thing to keep in mind however is this...don't list an item for sale on eBay that you can't afford to lose if things go south. This doubly applies to new sellers.

IF you have Ebay's International Shipping (EIS) enabled and this will be handled through ebay, you have little to worry about.
