Suspension due to alleged Counterfeit Policy violation - guidance
Good morning everyone,
I’m looking for advice from experienced sellers regarding listings being removed for “Counterfeit Policy violation.”
Over the past few weeks, I’ve had several listings taken down even though the products are authentic. In each appeal, I submitted:
- the original purchase receipt showing the retail store where the item was purchased, or
- clear photos of the product labels, or
- and images of the QR codes that redirect directly to the official brand website.
Despite providing this documentation, none of my appeals have been approved so far, and my account was even suspended for three days.
I take authenticity very seriously and only sell genuine products, so this situation has been very discouraging. I would really appreciate any guidance from sellers who have successfully dealt with similar issues.
Specifically:
- What type of evidence has worked best for you in appeals?
- Are there certain brands or products that trigger these removals more often?
- Is there anything I should change in my listings to avoid future authenticity violations? I always use "Sold items" and "Sell similar" options to create new listings. I don´t know what I am doing wrong.
Thank you in advance for any advice or insight.
