Suspended account
I have had a private ebay account for 15 years+ and use it to sell a range of themed items. I also wish to sell some unrelated items and wanted to keep it separate. So I opened a second account yesterday with a unique and separate email address, different user id but the same linked bank details. As far as I know this is all within the ebay rules.
However, today my account has been restricted and in a chat conversation have been told that it will not be re-activated. No explanation other than "the pattern of activities we have witnessed present a risk to our ebay community". No other details or specifics given and all I have done so far is list one item for sale.
I really don't know where to go with this and have tried to instigate a phone conversation but only get an American or Canadian location. Not UK.
Can anyone help me with this please??

For some odd reason, you ended up here on the US Ebay site. Since you are located in the U.K., you will need to use the Ebay U.K. site to seek assistance. Sign out of the Ebay U.S. site, sign back in to the Ebay U.K. site:

Thank you for your help. Every time I went to the contact area it took me to a US page despite logging into ebay.co.uk .
However, your link has worked and I am waiting for an agent to call right now.

I'm just updating you on the developments from yesterday.
In the call I received from "customer support" I was told that my account was suspended and the decision could not be appealed. The caller could not explain why and in fact seemed afraid to even talk about it. The way he spoke and the phrases used made it sound that something really serious had caused this but was not allowed to say. He could offer no advice and said that I was permanently excluded from ebay.
I was, (and am still), aghast at this and have absolutely no idea what has caused this. As I have said, all I did was to open a separate account to sell items unrelated to things on my long-standing account. I used a separate email address, a user id that ebay created, and the system automatically filled in the financial details taken from my existing account. I then listed one item (a bed).
Based on this I am now considered a threat to the ebay community and blocked forever.
I could not let this rest and spoke again this morning with "customer services" and got the same reaction and lack of response. I was advised not to attempt opening another account as I would be tracked and the same thing would happen. Furthermore my long-standing account was at risk and likely to be closed.
I now appear to be a marked man! Absolutely crazy. To be accused of something and not be told what cannot be right.
After holding an account since 2004 it appears to be ending without reason or explanation leaving me confused, curious, angry, frustrated, disillusioned all at the same time.
