Super high shipping rates
Just wondering if this looks normal to you. I have contacted the seller to see if it is a mistake and they claim that "Ebay is now charging TAXES on the sale and that is the reason for the high shipping rate. I hate to see abuse of our community like this. ( This is for a 4lb max. drone, not a refrigerator.) I know I should just move on but unless the delivery is going to be by armored-car then someone is going to get hosed..
$800 to ship from Mid-West to East-Coast?????? Ya right.

OP3 years agoMoving on is the best. Thanks for kicking in. I thought I was missing something. I could ship a 55" TV from coast to coast for less than that with insurance and still fill my gas tank at the pump twice. God luck to the buyer who doesn't pay attention to the shipping extra charges.

Mentor3 years ago@mdrisc I would just move on. This seller doesn't understand how sales tax works.
eBay collects and remits the sales tax that is charged by the buyer's state as required by law for ALL remote sales, it's not eBay requiring the sales tax.
The only affect it has on the seller is that we have to pay sellers fees on the TOTAL a buyer pays.... item price+ shipping+sales tax.
They might think they are avoiding eBay fees by putting the cost of the drone in the shipping.
