Subject: Urgent Request for Assistance – Buyer Refunded but Shipped Item Is Still in Transit
Dear eBay Support Team,
I am contacting you regarding an order where an incorrect tracking number was mistakenly uploaded to the order.
The buyer purchased the item and we shipped the product to the buyer's address. Unfortunately, due to an unintentional error, we uploaded the wrong tracking number to the eBay order.
The buyer subsequently canceled the order and received a full refund. However, the actual product was already shipped and is currently in transit to the buyer's address. The shipment is now very close to delivery.
This situation has occurred due to an accidental tracking-number entry error and not because the item was not shipped.
We respectfully request eBay to investigate this transaction and assist us in protecting the seller from losing both the product and the payment.
We would appreciate eBay's assistance with one of the following resolutions:
1. If the buyer receives the product, please arrange for the payment to be recovered/credited to the seller; OR
2. If the buyer has already received a refund, please assist us in recovering the physical product from the buyer and having it returned to us.
We are willing to provide the following evidence:
* Correct tracking number
* Shipping receipt/proof of shipment
* Carrier tracking information showing the shipment is in transit
* Order details
* Proof that the item was shipped to the buyer's address
* Any other information required by eBay
We sincerely apologize for the tracking-number error. It was an accidental mistake, and we are requesting eBay's help to ensure that the buyer does not receive both the refund and the physical product while the seller suffers a complete loss.
Please review the transaction and advise us on the appropriate procedure before the package is delivered.
Thank you for your assistance and consideration.
