Whose stupid idea is this "Ready to Resell" suggestion on item/s you bought. There is not even an option to remove it.

True, but you do have an option to ignore it.

I can't imagine why eBay thought this was a good idea either. There are sellers who buy items on eBay and resell them, but that's not the reason most buyers make purchases.

You can avoid it by using a different page as a landing page instead of the main eBay page. If you are using a desktop browser that supports custom ad blocking rules, you can suppress it.
