Stuck in Refund Loop: eBay asking me to pay fees for a "Local Pick-up Only" listing cancellation
Hello everyone,
I need some advice regarding a cancellation/refund issue. I listed a graphics card as "Local Pick-up Only" (Abholung). However, a buyer purchased it and paid directly through the eBay system.
Since the item was already promised to another local buyer, I need to cancel this transaction. When I try to issue a full refund of €195.00, the system shows that my available balance is only €167.15 because eBay already deducted the selling fees.
The system is now asking me to add a payment method to cover the €27.85 difference out of my own pocket to complete the refund.
My questions are:
If I pay this €27.85 now to finalize the refund, will eBay automatically credit these fees back to my account since the sale didn't happen?
Is there a way to cancel this without having to pay the fees upfront, considering it was a "Local Pick-up" listing and the error is within the automated fee deduction?
Should I wait for manual Support intervention instead of paying the difference?
Any help or experience with this would be greatly appreciated.
