Hi everyone,
I'm a new seller on eBay, operating from Canada, and I've been at it for almost three months. Despite putting in a lot of effort—running 90% priority ads and optimizing my listings—I'm struggling to get any sales. I've managed to get around 300 views in a month, but it hasn't translated into sales so far. I'm reaching out to other sellers and mentors for advice.
What strategies have you found effective in turning views into sales? Have you faced similar challenges when starting your online business, and how did you overcome them? Any tips on improving my approach would be greatly appreciated!
Looking forward to hearing your experiences and advice.

Mentor1 month agoYou only have 2 items listed & it looks like you're drop shipping from China. Drop Shipping is not attractive to buyers & depending on how you're doing it, may not even be allowed. Also, buyers don't like to wait for overseas shipping, esp on items they can readily purchase in their own countries.
With only 2 items listed, you're in a sea of millions upon millions of listings in your category alone. The numbers are not in your favor.
I would recommend listing items that you have in stock & consider selling more unique items.

OP1 month agoHello, I am currently based in Canada and doing dropshipping from China. As a student, my budget is very limited, and I'm finding it difficult to generate sales and earn a steady income. I'm willing to work hard and build an online income, but I'm not sure if dropshipping is the right fit for me. If you have any suggestions or can recommend a beginner-friendly online business model with low investment and better earning potential, I would really appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Mentor1 month agoAs I said dropshipping annoys buyers & much of it is not even allowed on eBay. The lowest investment model is to start out selling items from around your house & see how that goes for you. Listing 2 items is highly unlikely to give you a steady income stream. I have thousands & still don't have steady income. Starting with items around your house will give you an idea if this is worth it for you, without a large investment. You're not going to generate sales with 2 items, dropshipped from China. If you want to make a go of it, you'll need to find your niche, product wise. No one can help you with that, everyone has to do the research on their own. Good luck!
