strange message saying item sold and I need to verify my Ebay account and offers a link.
Hi, just received a message in my Ebay In Box saying an item had sold and I need to verify my Ebay account and it offers a link. The sender's email or whatever that is looks weird, strange and my item did not sell.
Is this a scam of some kind and how did it get into the Ebay site?

If a Buy it now item sold and was paid for it will be in this Seller Hub file: Orders — eBay Seller Hub
If it was an auction or offer waiting for payment it will be in this Seller Hub file: Orders — eBay Seller Hub
If neither of the above apply use the little three dot menu on that message (upper right-hand corner) and Report the message.
