Store name bug - ticket open - support unhelpful
I'm putting this out here as chat support has been unhelpful. I'm long overdue for opening a store and when choosing a store name, I'm receiving an error 'another user using this name'. I'm the one using the name and also checked all variations of str and usr URLs to verify it's not in use. Support knows it's a bug and I have a support ticket open with the technical team (1-470967890801). However, it's been weeks with no update and chat support says the following:
"Yes, our technical team has looked at your issue as a bug ticket has already been made. There may be a delay on the fix due to the holidays and our technical teams will take it from here and work towards a resolution as quickly as possible. While you won’t receive a follow up call from us, we will assure you that this was now our top priority so this will not happen again in the future."
So how am I supposed to know when it's been fixed?
"We do not have an exact time frame on when the bug will be resolved and my recommendation is to check it from time to time such as weekly, while your store is not yet opened please be assured that the store is only for additional benefits and you can still sell on eBay with no issues."
I'm putting this out here hoping a real eBay person can help me out. I'm not an idiot, I know what a store is, why I need it and I know I can still sell.
