Stolen property
Item is MY class ring. It was stolen years ago. I've emailed the seller with no response. How is this acceptable?

·2 years ago@tbummer816 Also, please come back and confirm for me that you have the new item #. Since this is an unproven accusation at this point, we shouldn't identify the seller in public. So I'll need to ask a moderator to remove the item # from your post and mine.

·2 years ago@tbummer816 To add to @Anonymous 's good advice, since you already contacted the seller, and as a result the seller ended and relisted, it's very likely the seller has blocked you from buying. If you have a friend or relative buy the ring for you, make sure it's someone whose name and city isn't related to you. Also, don't leave feedback based only on an accusation unless you've been able to prove it with law enforcement. If the seller realizes you've circumvented their Blocked Bidder List, they could report you to eBay for that, and also have your feedback removed.

·2 years agoIf I may, Tracy, for $35, I would purchase the ring.
This way you will:
A) Get your ring back
B) Get the name and address of your seller
With the ring in hand, then definitely contact law enforcement, eBay, etc.
This way you are sure to get your ring back.
Is it possible that this ring was lost and then found by someone and is now being sold?
Asking because the ring is very beat up and with some corrosion.
I’m a former museum conservator. To me, the ring looks like it was buried, recovered (perhaps by a metal detectorist), cleaned up (not well), and is being offered for sale.
Good luck to you. I hope you get your ring back.

OP2 years agoThank you for responding. I assumed it was packed away with many other keepsakes. I really don't want it. I'm dumbfounded of the lack of integrity. No inquiring. I hope someone finds joy with it as much as I did ( many, many years ago)

·2 years ago@tbummer816 Selling stolen items is not allowed. You need to first contact your local law enforcement before eBay can do anything. You should not keep trying to contact the seller. The seller has now ended that listing and relisted;

OP2 years agoI have contacted my local law enforcement. They told me to continue to try to resolve it with the seller. How is this ok? It's ok to hold personal property hostage? Just a little integrity. The price is way too high! ✌ï¸

·2 years ago@tbummer816 It's not ok. If the police made a report for you, then you can send the police report to eBay. See the report form link at the Help page I posted. Also Contact Us at the bottom of that page, and ask for an agent.
