Stolen Phone Purchased

Question

Based In Uk and Phone bought from Uk Seller who is now inactive.

I recently bought a Phone from E bay which turns out to be stolen this has been confirmed by Police and have incident and crime number. As I am meant to be protected by buyers protection and item goes against E bay Policy how do I get my money back. It seems near impossible to contact anyone to report this to.

Please help at my wits end
