stolen mail
This is lengthy so please bare with me I really need your help Because Ebay simply blows me off like "Oh Gee sir sorry about your luck" I say doing business on Ebay should NOT be a matter of "Luck"
I am a long time seller AND buyer on ebay. I live in northeast ohio and all my purchases originating from points north , northeast and northwest come to me via the Cleveland Ohio Post office. All other points of origin come through the Akron Ohio post office to my south. With that said, I recently (over the past 2 months) have had every single coin I've purchased on Ebay has been stolen AT the Cleveland incoming sorting facility. EVERY single package has been stolen. When I called the Cleveland Postmaster she told me that the "ESUS" letters on ALL my tracking is done by Ebay and NOT by the USPS and they are unable to track such packages because OFFICIAL post office labels contain no letters and are comprised of only numbers, So Here is my problem, I have had over 500 dollars of antique silver coins stolen from me at the Cleveland Post office in the past 2 months with 3 purchases being stolen just today. The way they are doing it according to the postal inspector is the sorters feel a round flat object in an Ebay mailing they know right away what it is. They pull it off the sorting line and stick it in their pockets knowing full well the Ebay mailings are NOT tracked by the postal authorities but rather by Ebay itself so they use a mobile scanner to mark the as "Delivered in Mailbox" or "Out for Delivery" and the strange thing is it gives the out for delivery location as Cleveland, OH and afterwards it will say "Delivered to address" Cleveland Ohio.BUT I don't live in Cleveland. The inspector told me there is really nothing to do in this situation except just count my losses and stop buying coins that come from any where north of my location!! This is unacceptable to me I''m an old guy on social security and simply cant afford these kind of losses. The people that run ebay only says the coins were delivered and there is no claim. They don't seem to care that they were "Delivered" to a thief's pocket. Can anyone out there give me any advice at all??? I sure need some.
