Stolen 1997-98 SkyBox Premium Star Rubies Michael Jordan
I was wondering if I could get advice from people here on how to retrieve this card or on how to contact eBay on if they still have a 20 year old account that I couldn't get into. I was in the trading card business and when eBay came out I started selling cards on it. I got lucky one day when I bought a box of 97/98 Skybox Premiums and pulled out a Michael Jordan Star Rubies. Back then it was worth around $2000. I was stupid and got scammed out of it by dealing directly with the buyer even though he found me on eBay. I never got the $2000. He lived in Australia so I called customs and the authorities and found out he was on the run for fraud of course and they couldn't do anything about it at the time. Soon after, I lost my email account and couldn't retrieve my password to get into my eBay account and just made a new one instead. That account however has proof that I owned the card and had it for sale. If I could get that information back and the card # I could contact authorities again in case it pops up on Goldin Auctions or something. Any advice on how to deal with this would be very helpful. Thank you. BTW, the card is now worth around $200,000 so you can see why I hate myself for getting scammed even though I would have only made 2k at the time.
