Stole half my money on a phone return
What is it with ebay that thinks it's ok for a seller to only give me 1/2 of a refund on a phone!! cell
When the cell phone arrived, I noticed it flashing on and off like there was a poor connection at the battery. This would be my best guess. I returned the phone. Mind you, I never even got to the point of using it so I know there was no damage to it on my end. Several weeks later I got a message stating the phone was damaged and they were only giving me 1/2 of my money back. I saw the phone relisted the very next day. I was just going to let this go because I've had the same account for nearly 25 years and didn't want to make waves. But I don't lie the idea of my money just getting stolen either... When I tried to contact ebay customer service about the issue they just said 'case closed' and I was unable to contact ebay. The seller just ignored my request for an explanation as to the supposed 'damage' to the phone. I'm getting ready to call my credit card company... This is definately NOT OVER

Before you contact your credit card company, you should use the appeal process on eBay.
You can do that here: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-items-not-received-refunds-buyers/appeal-outcome-case-buyer?id=4039
Click "Appeal your case"
If the appeal case isn't resolved in your favor, then you can try your credit card.

OP1 year agoThere was no initiation of an appeals process... I was just sent a notice that case was closed. No warning or previous notifications
