Standard Shipping
How do I setup standard shipping? Ex: USPS has $5 flat rate shipping.
Is there a way to do this with UPS and USPS?
Thanks.

Mentor2 years ago@timetravelerstreasuretrove Do you want the listing to just say standard shipping and then choose which shipping method you want to use when you ship the item? FYI if these are not large heavy packages ground advantage is going to cost less than UPS. Also if your buyer has a PO box you can't use UPS. PO boxes are safe to ship to.
If you want the shipping to look like this let me know and I'll provide instructions as you need to use the Advanced Listing tool or Business Policies.
OR if you just want to charge a flat rate then this is what you do>
How you select your flat rate shipping method depends on the listing tool you are using.
1. If you are using the Quick Listing Tool ( it has a gear on the upper right)
then select buyer pays flat shipping in this section:
i.ebayimg.com/images/g/8bwAAOSwI7Bivg9n/s-l1600.jpg
You need to first enter the package weight and size or select I don't know package details.
Then select your shipping method of USPS , UPS etc.
Next select buyer pays flat.
2. If you are using the Advanced Listing Tool ( it will have the option to add a video in the photo section) scroll down to the shipping section.
Select small to medium packages from the first drop down menu.
Enter your package weight and size if you wish ( it's not required for flat rate but is a good idea in case you have a return)
Select Flat rate: Same cost regardless of buyer location in the second drop down box.
Click on the Plus symbol to choose your shipping service of 1st class, priority etc.
If there is a shipping service already there that you don't want to use then click on the 3 dots and then select delete.
Once you select the shipping service you will see a spot to enter the flat rate shipping cost.

Mentor2 years ago@timetravelerstreasuretrove First I want to say that I really recommend saying which shipping company you will use on the listing, buyers like to know this and the estimated delivery dates are more accurate. However I do know that some sellers use the generic "standard shipping" option.
I like business policies. You set up the policy and then select it from a list while creating the listings.
You can opt in to business policies on this page> https://www.bizpolicy.ebay.com/businesspolicy/manage?sellerAlreadyOptedIn=true If you have not used Business Policies before then you may need to do a bit of clean up and reasign listings to reduce the number of policies.
Name the policies something easy to recognize. Such as Standard Shipping Flat Rate $5
You can use Business Policies when listing with the Advanced listing tool in Seller Hub OR the APP .
OR>>>>
*******************************************************************************************************************
You use the advanced listing tool located in Seller Hub.
You will know you are using the Advanced Listing Tool when you see the option to add a short video in the photo section.
To access Seller Hub:
1. Go to https://www.ebay.com/sh/landing
2. Click Start Using Seller Hub
3. To create a new listing go to your active listings page:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/lst/active and click the blue Create listing button near the top, right-hand side of the page.
Next in the shipping section follow these steps>
Select small to medium packages from the first drop down menu.
Enter your package weight and size if you wish ( it's not required for flat rate but is a good idea in case you have a return)
Select Flat rate: Same cost regardless of buyer location in the second drop down box.
Click on the Plus symbol to choose your shipping service STANDARD SHIPPING
If there is a shipping service already there that you don't want to use then click on the 3 dots and then select delete.
Once you select the shipping service you will see a spot to enter the flat rate shipping cost.
Let me know if I you have any questions as this is a lot of information.
