Sports card authentication process question
I've just bought a card that I was skeptical about—but I'm really relying on the Ebay authentication process. If the card IS authentic, I'm thrilled. The only fear I have is that a reprint card IS technically authentic, but not at all what I'm buying. I'm assuming that the authenticators will look at the "year manufactured 1933" claim in the "item specifics" description. So, they will look at an authentic reprint from say...2009 and say it is NOT authentic because it doesn't match the item description. (BTW: Of course I looked for the "reprint" indication on the card—but it isn't there.) I think I'm safe, but it's one of the most expensive cards I've ever bought—and the seller was a little squirly/evasive/misleading in his communication. (thank you Ebay for providing this assurance process.)
