Someone needs to tell eBay management that they have a SSL certificate problem.
I got an email that was generated from my eBay Motors "watch for and notify" to let me know about listings for DeSotos. I clicked the "See all new results" button and got a bad certificate warning. I looked at the certificate and found that "motors.ebay.com is missing from the long list of its subject alt names. This means that all eBay Motors messages, when a button is clicked, are going to show up as fraudulent.
And this is the only place where I could report it!

Thanks for bringing this up—it’s definitely something that needs attention. I’ve already passed this on to eBay’s technical team, making sure they’re aware of the missing Subject Alternative Name (SAN) for motors.ebay.com in the SSL certificate. This kind of issue is a big deal, so it’s great you caught it and flagged it here.
As @comics-scifi-collectibles mentioned, contacting eBay’s customer service on social media can also be a helpful backup for sharing general concerns, but technical issues like SSL certificate problems are best handled internally. The relevant team is now reviewing this matter.

Mentor1 year ago@thevillageclerk That's not good. I recommend contacting eBay customer service on social media to report this as the agents are more experienced and you can provide screen shots of the error for trouble shooting.
