someone changed my ship to address and it was not a hacker but ebay
I made an offer to seller only to later find that the seller sent item to an address I never entered in the "ship to" . I live in CA and the shipto was set to DE (which I've never been). Ebay is not helping resolve this and the seller already sent items to that DE address.
If I made a change to the "ship to" address, I would get a notification stating I changed the address. I expect the same would be true if a hacker changed my "ship to" address. I told eBay about this and they are pretending like their computers cannot glitch out like this.

Mentor2 years agoIf a hacker also changed your contact information, the hacker would get the confirmation message instead of you.
The Delaware address is likely a freight forwarding location, and the person who changed your shipping address is likely having packages forwarded elsewhere.
Examine all your account details closely for any changes, change your eBay password and your email password, consider unlinking any social media accounts or change those passwords as well.
