Somehow have two accounts with same email
I got onto Ebay a few weeks back to purchase something. I think I may have checked out as a guest, but cannot remember, and did not know I had an account associated with this google account. I did receive emails about this purchase. I needed to return the item and was somehow able to respond to the seller. They responded back, but every time I try to write them back, it prompts me to login. If I use my email, it forces me to login to ebay through Google, which works, but I discovered the old account is there, with one purchase I made years back, and the recent purchase is not there. I found the emails about the recent purchase have a user name, so I used that to set a new password, but every time I try to login with that username and password it fails. I've reset the password about 5 times now, with no luck. The return window has passed for this item. When I try to contact ebay, I am prompted to login, which begins my problem all over again.

Mentor2 years agoGuest purchases are not associated with an eBay account.
If you purchased as a guest, in order to use the links in the guest purchase email, you must first sign out of your current eBay account.
