some one reported Brand Violation on my own brand that i am not authorised to sell my own product
Summary: hus188669 reported a problem where someone has reported a brand violation against them, falsely claiming that they are not authorized to sell their own product. eastlaneave responded, but did not provide any additional information or solution.
It can’t get any more stupid than this. Someone is reporting my brand as theirs and claiming that I am violating or infringing on my own brand.
eBay hides my listing overnight, and all the hard work is gone until further notice. It makes me think, what a strong tool this could be if someone wanted to mess with a competitor. Are there no checks and balances? Doesn’t eBay need to verify this first? Or, like Amazon, shouldn’t eBay require an ownership claim beforehand?
I find eBay very difficult to navigate compared to Amazon, where things are more streamlined. I asked eBay whether the person reporting my listing for brand infringement actually provided any official documentation to support their claim, but eBay customer service is refusing to give me that information.
Here is my logic: if someone is using my company’s brand name and claiming it as theirs, they have either provided forged documents, or eBay does not require documents at all. Either way, I need that information to pursue this properly.
Whether this is identity theft, forged documentation, or a false claim, that person needs to be held accountable. Otherwise, someone else could be victimized tomorrow.
anyone had similar issue & wants to weigh in?

If it is your private label brand, consider registering with eBay's VeRO program.
VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) is a way to officially register who you are and the items you have rights to. Through the program you can have other listings removed for violations, and your listings should be protected.
