Summary: austinm17 explains a situation where they made a mistake by sending the wrong item to a buyer on eBay. After realizing the error, the buyer returned the incorrect item, and austinm17 sent the correct one. However, even though they rectified the mistake, eBay is still issuing an action, which seems to perplex them. wooden_flower is also part of the conversation but does not provide any additional information or solution.
I messed up. I sold a item and shipped the wrong item. The buyer contacted me and I instructed her to return the item and say wrong item sent. She sent the item back. I sent the corrected item and now ebay is saying they will pull the funds from my account and pay the buyer back. Even though there has been tracking numbers supplied showing the shipment of the correct item. What can I do to stop this. I know it is only $100 or so but why let ebay take my money even though this has been corrected. Maurice

Ask the buyer to close the return. That is the only way to stop the refund from being issued.
This is why you should refund the return, then let the buyer repurchase the correct item when this situation occurs.
