Sold me a useless radio. Ebay refunded then took money back
Purchased a 2 way p25 radio from a seller assured it was p25 capable and would be programmed as such. Too add more fun to the ordeal i have a terminal disease that throws me in the hospital when it flares up. So i wait, radio arrives, opened box - uip theres a radio. Guys got perfect feedback (which im now learning doesnt mean much now with ebay as sellers can just whine about unfair negative feedback and ebay removes it - the buyers arent paying the bills it seems) went thru some medical stuff for weeks, had to order batt and charger and other options from a 3rd party to even use the radio. Those took weeks to arrive.
Said radio doesnt work on P25 digital modes at all.
Told seller - no response
Told again - yep- no response
Doing all this thru ebay so i know they see this seller is ghosting me.
File chargeback with my bank.
Suddenly homies all over my inbox after 38 days of me messaging him now hes begging to swap the radio out. Nah bro. Take ur chargeback like a man.
A week later ebay/paypal drops the chargeback money into my bank account.
4 days later Ebay dips into my account and takes the money right back out stating "buyer refunded in error" contrary to their initial refund statement.
So he gets the money and the radio then? Ebay wont respond at all this has been ongoing for months

Because you had to wait weeks to get a charger and battery, it probably took you past the 30 day from the date of delivery time frame, to file a not as described dispute with ebay. That's probably why the seller did not respond initially. If you knew the radio did not come with a battery or charger, why didn't you order them as soon as you bought the radio, so you could test it? Doing that may have kept you within ebay's Money Back Guarantee (MBG) time frames.
By filing for a charge back through your card provider, depending on the reason you gave for filing, ebay may have disputed the refund on behalf of the seller. Especially, if they had ebay look at their message offering to swap the radio out.

OP10 months agoI emailed the seller the 3rd day after i recieved it telling him it didnt work as described.
Yes i ordered a charger and battery for it.
It also came with one, ordering a fast charger and brand new battery is pretty common when purchasing used radios that come with them,
Clearly i contacted him multiple times and then since he wouldnt answer i HAD to file the chargeback within the 30 day period. And within hours of filing the chargeback good ole boy woke up from his 3 week slumber - not to explain why he ghosted me, but asking when i was shipping the radio back, still to this day wont answer my questions
