Sold Item without damage, but buyer states item arrived damage. value $50
Besides the likelihood of a refund to the buyer, who is liable for the damage? eBay? UPS?
eBay contact agents appear to be offline.
Item is an auto side mirror. Damage appears to be underside the glass, such as peeling. No physical chipping of the glass. None of this was present at time of shipping out.
How can I raise a claim for shipping damages without presence of impact during transit.
How can I confirm the buyer isn't merely, perhaps swapping out a prior peeling glass for mine, at my expense? Original pre-shipping
Peeling glass?
No Chipping

OP1 year agoI will do that.
How do I know the mirror isn't the one the client is trying to replace? again, mine was not damaged and the one received is damaged without impact. I wonder if I should have marked my product...
The damage claim with (in this case) UPS. Is that done now or once I receive the return? Usually asap is best, but I don't have a way to handle the product over to UPS should they want it. for a refund to me.
All I had was an amazon envelop.

You are responsible for refunding your buyer. Have them file a Return Request through Ebay, provide the prepaid return shipping label and refund when you receive the returned item. Or you can issue a refund without requiring the return.
File a damage claim with whoever you used to ship the item, providing the photos. (Ebay does not ship anything, so you cannot file through them)
Just curious why you used a Prime bubble envelope to ship the item? Those are used for Amazon Prime shipments only.
